Hi, my name's Andy. I've been a photog at WINK since the summer of 2006. I grew up in the Midwest in a little town about a half an hour south of Indianapolis. I graduated with a BA in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from Indiana University in May of 2004. Before moving to Florida, I was a reporter AND photographer at a small station in West Lafayette Indiana. I really cut my teeth there. My old news director even referred to my job as "reporter bootcamp"! But alas, I felt like I just wasn't cut out for being on TV. I'm the kind of person who likes to get dirty and be outside when I'm on the job. That being said, dressing up in a suit and tie every day just wasn't my cup of tea!

That's why working at WINK is so great: One day I could be inside the fire lines of a massive brush fire, and the next day I could be wading my way through 5 foot floodwaters. And as crazy as it sounds, I'm super-amped to experience my first hurricane in Southwest Florida. While you and your family will be huddled in a safe place inside your homes, I'll be outside battling 100 mph winds and flying debris!! Trust me, you really have to LOVE your job to actually look forward to this sort of thing.

In my spare time I enjoy going on adventures with my girlfriend, trying new food and drink at all the awesome spots around Fort Myers, and of course catching some sun on the back patio while I lay in the pool! I love going to concerts, spending time in nature, and playing and listening to music of all genres.
