I was Born and raised in Austin, Texas, and am a true Texan through and through.

My love for photography began when I was 15 and enrolled in my first photography course as a freshman at Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin, TX. From that point on, I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

As I shot still photos for the next 20 years, I always had a fascination with television. Not only did I enjoy gluing my eyes to it for recreation, but I also enjoyed the wide variety of images to admire.

As I cultivated my desire to join the television market, I was given an opportunity to prove my ability at a news station in Austin and was quite successful. I received honorable mention at the Texas AP Broadcasters Awards in the category of Special Feature/Serious in 2007.

As my career blossomed, I began desiring a change of scenery and a change in stories to be told.

When the opportunity to move to the west coast of Florida presented itself, I jumped on it because I have always wanted to live on a beach.

Although it was much farther from home than I had imagined, the people here at WINK News were warm and welcoming, which made the transition far easier than I had anticipated, and for that, I thank them all.

I really like it here and find Naples to be a friendly town and quite stunning in its beauty.
