Anchor, WINK NEWS NOW This Morning

From the Sunflower State to the Sunshine State, Sarah Augusthy is delighted to share her sunrise with you!

Sarah came to Florida from Kansas, where she grew up. She most recently worked at the NBC affiliate in Topeka at KSNT, where she served in a number of positions from weekend anchor and reporter, to morning anchor, and finally as evening anchor.

Before that, Sarah served as an anchor and reporter at the NBC affiliate in the town of her Alma Mater, The University of Missouri-Columbia, where she earned both journalism and music degrees.

As a journalist, Sarah has received Kansas Association of Broadcasters awards for everything from chasing tornadoes to hosting special broadcasts. But she's most proud of her Telly Award for her work on the "Kansas Governor," a teaching documentary about Kansas' six living governors being used as an educational DVD in every high school in the state.

When she's not working, you can find Sarah running or studying. She's currently pursuing her Masters in Public Health with a focus on Disaster Management and Terrorism Preparedness. She hopes by furthering her education, she can help people better understand possible threats, and examine responses to natural and man-made disasters.

Sarah is from Kerala, India, but moved to the United States when she was 3 years old. She's married to her wonderful husband, Reggie. They love to travel the world, dance, look at great art, and eat!
