LEE COUNTY, Fla - Southwest Florida is gearing up for the 4th annual WINK News Feeds Families Hunger Walk. The theme this year is "Believe in Magic", and  we're hoping, with your help, we can make hunger disappear for many in Southwest Florida.

According to Al Brislain, Executive Director of the Harry Chapin Food Bank of SWFL, hunger has a new face. "Years ago it was the elderly, the disabled, single moms with kids, and now we're seeing people who are perfectly capable of working and have lost their jobs or had their hours cut back and they just can't make ends meet."

Here's how the hunger walk can help. For every dollar you donate to the WINK News Feeds Families Hunger Walk, the Harry Chapin food bank can turn that into $6 worth of food. "We go out and get food from all over country. We bring in fruits and veggies for pennies on the dollar. So when people donate to us they allow us, enable us to go out and get that great nutritious food."

The WINK News Feeds Families Hunger Walk is Saturday, January 21st at the Miromar Outlets in Estero. Start forming your teams now, or to register or a donation go to: http://www.harrychapinfoodbank.org/hungerwalk.html
