The Atlantic Sun coaches picked the Florida Gulf Coast women's soccer team to win a fifth straight regular season championship. The Preseason Poll and All-Conference awards were announced on Thursday.  Eagles sophomore Tabby Tindell was picked as the Co-Preseason Player of the year while junior Emma Blackwell earned Preseason Defensive Player of the year honors. FGCU Junior Brittany Brown was picked to repeat as Goalkeeper of the Year. 

As a freshman last season, Tindell set a single-season program records in points (34), goals (15), goals per game (0.75), shots (71), shots per game (3.55), shots on goal (44) and shots on goal per game (2.20).

Blackwell was an All-Conference First Team selection last season for her efforts anchoring the FGCU defense. Brown is a two-year starter between the pipes.

The Eagles begin the season with an exhibition against Mercer at 4 p.m. on August 15 at the FGCU Soccer Complex. The regular season kicks off on August 22 at home against UCF at 7 p.m.
