Jacksonville trounces Trinity Baptist 78-48

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jarvis Haywood scored 16 points and Kordario Fleming (10 points, 10 rebounds) came off the bench for a double-double in Jacksonville's 78-48 demolition of Trinity Baptist on Tuesday night.

Haywood also added nine rebounds for Jacksonville, who outrebounded Trinity Baptist 45-25. Keith McDougald added 12 points and Marcellous Bell chipped in 11 points for the Dolphins.

Trinity Baptist led four times in the first half and trailed just 31-28 before Jacksonville closed the period on a 6-2 run to take a 37-30 advantage into halftime.

The Dolphins quickly pushed that lead to 14, 52-38, in the second half and, after a Darrius Jones 3-pointer cut the deficit to 52-41, used a 9-0 spurt to go ahead 61-41.

Jacksonville State outshot Trinity Baptist 50.8 percent (31 of 61) to 32.1 percent (17 of 53).

Court Roth led Trinity Baptist with 16 points.
