GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) â€” Florida linebacker Brandon Hicks has been taken to local hospital and treated for dehydration.
Hicks approached team trainers during practice Friday morning and was taken to Shands at the University of Florida as a precaution.
Team spokesman Steve McClain says Hicks is doing fine.
Hicks, a senior from nearby Jacksonville, started six games last season and had 32 tackles and four sacks. He has 79 tackles and 6Â½ sacks in three seasons, and is expected to start this fall.
