ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - The managers for Tuesday night's All-Star
game have chosen their starting pitchers.

National League skipper Charlie Manuel is going with Colorado
ace Ubaldo Jimenez while AL bench boss
Joe Girardi will hand the ball to Tampa Bay's David Price.

      Jimenez is a major league-best 15-and-1 with a 2.20 ERA. Price
is 12-and-4 with a 2.42 ERA.

The National League hasn't won a midsummer classic since 1996 in
Philadelphia. They did manage a tie in 2002. After that debacle in
Milwaukee, commissioner Bud Selig decreed that future
winners of the exhibition game would earn home field advantage for
their league's representative in the World Series.
