Miracle outfielder suspended 50 games

      NEW YORK (AP) - Minnesota Twins Class A outfielder Michael
Harrington has been suspended 50 games for violating the minor
league drug program.


      The commissioner's office announced Thursday that Harrington,
who plays for Fort Myers of the Florida State League, immediately
will begin serving his suspension for a positive test for Andrine,
a performance-enhancing drug.
