BALTIMORE (AP) - For the 32nd straight year, there will be no Triple Crown winner.

Lookin at Lucky, which endured a horrific trip during a sixth-place finish at the Kentucky Derby, held off determined pacesetter First Dude to win the 135th Preakness Stakes. Jockey Martin Garcia won his first Triple Crown race. This is trainer Bob Baffert's fifth Preakness winner, and his first Triple Crown winner since 2002. Lookin at Lucky paid $6.80 for a two-dollar bet.

Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver finished a well-beaten eighth.  That ends the Triple Crown dreams for jockey Calvin Borel, who had boasted that Super Saver was Triple Crown material.
There has not been a Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978.
