PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is attending his last fundraiser of the election season as newly released documents show his campaign had $61.3 million to spend at the end of September, less than President Barack Obama's nearly $100 million.
Romney on Saturday stopped by an oceanfront Palm Beach mansion less than three weeks before Election Day. It's the last time the former Massachusetts governor will appear at a fundraiser before voters go to the polls Nov. 6.
New documents sent to the Federal Election Commission show Romney had $61.3 million in the bank after raising $77.8 million in September. Neither Romney nor Obama has accepted public financing, leaving both with no limits on how much they can raise. Romney has raised more than $236 million for his campaign to date.
