This weekend is the big McFlats Invitational Redfish Challenge, a huge fishing tournament to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. There are big monetary prizes for this event so competition is high. There is a party and  Texas Hold'em Tournament at Cape Harbour tonight. Tomorrow is the tournament, Music and a kids tournament with Ronald Mc Donald himself tomorrow. There is an auction and all kinds of stuff for non fisherman to get involved with as well.

This weekend is also license-free saltwater fishing in Florida. Anyone can fish without a license so get out there and enjoy.

Today is SeaTurtle Day at Ding Darling on Sanibel. From 10-4 today you can check out a new exhibit on Saving Sea Turtles. There will be refreshments and presentations on sea turtle research, how they are surviving on the island and the showing of a film called Turtle: The Incredible Journey. FREE.

If you are looking for something healthful to do Saturday there is a Dr Piper Center 5th Annual Legacy 5K Run/Walk at 7:30 at Dunbar Middle School in Fort Myers. There'sa  costume contest and all kinds of food and fun for everyone. it costs $25 register at www.ftmyerstrackclub.com

Live music Saturday in Naples at the Norris Community Center. Enjoy a free Dixieland Jazz Concert from  1-3. The Community Center is on 8th Street so you can wonder down nearby 5th Ave after the show, for shopping and dining.

Sunday is National Traill Mix Day and you'll get a whole container of the treat at the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium, to give you something to munch on as you stroll the boardwalks from 11am-5pm.
