NAPLES, Fla. - For the second year in a row the LaPlaya Beach Resort hosted a day of fun and sun in the sand.

More than 25 teams and hundreds of children took part in sculpting castles and more in the sand. All in an effort to raise money for the Golisano Children's Museum of Naples.

Last year the event brought in more than $8,000 and this year they're hoping the event will help them raise more the $20,000.

Money raised at the Wednesday event helps the museum focus on their mission: “To provide an exciting, inspiring environment where children and their families play, learn and dream together.”
