FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fall hunting season is just around the corner as summer nears an end, and now might be the perfect time to dust off your gear and get ready to take home that buck.

Bass Pro Shops is helping hunters get ready with their annual "Hunting Classic," with seminars and workshops throughout the month of August. Designed to show you the latest and greatest in hunting this year and help you step out of hibernation.

“We’ve been hosting this event for more than 20 years now so it’s as much a part of fall traditions as campfires and swapping hunting stories. The event is popular because hunters know they can expect to learn valuable hunting tips at our free seminars and shop a huge selection of the latest gear, clothes and boots,” said Tammy Sapp, Bass Pro Shops communications director.

August 1-6, Bow/Crossbow Trade-In. - Hunters will have the opportunity to get rid their current or aged bow and upgrade to a newer bow or crossbow. For making the trade in, you'll receive up to a $100 credit to the purchase of a new bow or cross bow. Donated bows and crossbows will be given to local non-profits who teach children about archery and the outdoors.

August 7-12, Binocular & Rangefinder Trade-In. - Hunters will have the opportunity to trade in their old binoculars or rangefinders and receive up to a $100 credit toward purchasing a new set. Donated items will go to non-profits who teach children about the outdoors.

August 13-17, Scope Trade In. - Hunters will have the opportunity to trade in their old scopes and receive up to a $100 credit toward purchasing a new one. Donated items will go to non-profits who teach children about the outdoors.

August 15-17, Hunter Appreciation Weekend. - Hunters can attend free seminars from hunting experts and learn how to master their skills for the upcoming season. Topics include, how your camo pattern matters, why you should hunt predators, to integrating your game camera with your mobile devices and more.
