PUNTA GORDA, Fla. - A local novelty shop that screams summer and of-course ice cream is marking its 4th year on the harbor.

Harborwlak Scoops & Bites opened on the pier 4 years ago, because owners Ron and Claudia Thomas, always wanted an ice cream shop and couldn't say no to the perfect backdrop and location of Charlotte Harbor.

Starting out with just 16 flavors, today they feature more than 30 even some unique ones like, rum raisin and southern blackberry cobbler. "Krazy Kookie" Dough tops the list though as their best seller. Scooping out 187,000 scoops of just that flavor since opening day.

If ice cream isn't for you, you can still cool off with an array of shaved iced flavors and unique vintage sodas from around the country to help you beat the summer heat.

Harborwalk Scoops & Bites is open seven days a week from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and located at 150 Laishley Court underneath the Laishley Crab House at Laishley Park in Punta Gorda, Florida.
