15th Annual SWFL Soapfest Charity Weekend on Marco Island.  Some of your favorite daytime celebrity soap stars converge on Marco Island to raise money for local children's charities. VIP reception tonight but most of the activities begin tomorrow and last through Monday. Events include boat cruises, dinners, karaoke, etc. 

Bluegrass Brew & BBQ at Matanzas on the Bay Saturday. Benefits Operation Open Arms which helps military personnel and veterans with PTSD.  Food, music, entertainment and activities including a kids fishing tournament. Free, donations accepted. 11:00 a.m.-10 p.m.

A Tribute to America's Heroes at Centennial Park in Fort Myers. There will be speakers, performances, exhibits, a rifle salute and fly over. Donations will be accepted for care packages for deployed troops; candy, travel sized toiletries, sunscreen, lip balm, reading materials, etc.  It starts at 11:00 a.m. Sunday.

Old-Fashioned BBQ at the Shell Factory in North Fort Myers,  Entertainment, sack races, watermelon-eating contest, bike decorating contest for the kids, crab races, two-for-one admission to the Nature Park.  Dogs are welcome too.  Event runs from 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Fisherman's Village in Punta Gorda: Activities begin with a 5K and 10K race at 7:30 a.m., also a one mile Honor Walk, entertainment, a ceremony at noon and a car show.  Festivities run from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
