FORT MYERS, Fla. -- It's finally Friday and we want to help you make the most out of your weekend.

Gina Birch is here today to fill us in on some of the events in Southwest Florida.

Tonight is Yappy Hour at the Bell Tower Shops, with a little extra something something:"Dogs on the Catwalk" fashion show with prizes. If you want to enter your pet it's $5. There will be pet adoptions, pet friendly shopping in many of the stores. It's from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Tonight is also Rhythm On The River in the Coconut Grove of the Edison & Ford Winter Estates. The Danny Morgan Band is playing, there will be a cash bar and you get to dance and listen to live music on the beautiful grounds of this historic estate. It's from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and costs $10

On Saturday you can take part in Burgers & Bubbles in Bonita. It's the ultimate burger competition and celebrating the Grand Re-Opening of the Promenade at Bonita Bay. There will be stuff for the kids, food and beverage seminars, live music and lots of burgers. Save money if your purchase two online instead of just one. It's from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. General admission is $20, VIP tickets are $70.

Also, Saturday in Bonita is the Earth Day Festival, now in the past it has been held at Koreshan State Park so take that note that the location has been moved to Riverside Park on Old 41. There will be an opening ceremony, a dig for dinosaur bones for the kids, live animals, artists, music, a solar powered stage, food an food an wraps up with a drum circle from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. The whole event runs from 9 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Saturday night is the 28th Annual Punta Gorda Block Party. It's from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. downtown with three stages of entertainment and all kinds of music including headliner Mark Lindsay, former lead singer of Paul Revere and the Raiders.
