LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Our media partners at The News-Press are launching a project today called "Dreaming in Color" to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the 50th anniversary of his iconic 'I have a dream' speech.

It takes a look at race relations in Southwest Florida, how far they've come, and how far we still have to go. The special project includes interviews, videos, and stories from those who lived through the civil rights movement in Lee County.

The special report begins today, and culminates on Wednesday, the actual anniversary of the 'I have a dream' speech.

Two reporters from The News-Press who worked on the series joined us in the studio on WINK News Now Weekend Morning to tell us more about it.
