KEY LIME PIE WITH WHIPPED CREAM
1 9 inch ready bake pie crust or graham cracker crust
3 cups sweetened condensed milk
3 egg yolks
½ cup key lime juice
1 lime, used as garnish
In a large mixing bowl combine condensed milk, egg yolks, and juice. Mix with electric mixer for about 2 minutes on high setting. Pour mixture into ready bake pie crust then place in preheated 300 degree oven for 30 minutes. Take out and allow to cool in refrigerator for about two hours before serving.
Whipped Cream ½ quart heavy cream
½ cup powdered sugar
In a medium chilled bowl mix on high speed until stiff peaks form. Scoop and place on top of sliced cooled key lime pie. Garnish with thin slice of lime.
