FORT MYERS, Fla. - Equipment trucks are being unloaded today at JetBlue Park and Hammond Stadium, after traveling hundreds of miles from their home bases.

The Red Sox tractor-trailer, carrying thousands of pounds of equipment and personal items, arrived early Friday morning and unloading began shortly before 7 a.m.

The truck for the Minnesota Twins reached its destination yesterday afternoon.

The gear arrives ahead of the players, who are expected to start reporting to the Southwest Florida area early next week.

Tampa Bay Rays players are also preparing to settle in in Port Charlotte. Pitchers and catchers are slated to arrive Tuesday, with the rest of the team coming Friday.

The Red Sox play their first home games February 21st. The Twins' first home game is the 24th; the Rays play their first the 23rd.
