FORT MYERS, Fla. - On Monday, the Fort Myers Police Department will close the following roads for the 2013 New Year’s Eve Downtown Countdown:

-Edwards Drive from Monroe Street to Jackson Street

-Bay Street from the exit of the City of Palm Parking Garage to Jackson Street

-First Street from Monroe Street to Lee Street

-Main St from Broadway to the Jackson Street

-Broadway and Jackson Street will be closed from Main Street to Bay Street

-Hendry Street from Main Street to Edwards Drive

-Lee Street from Richmond Street to First Street

Road closures will begin at noon on December 31st and will remain closed until 4:00 a.m. on January 1st. Both downtown parking garages will be open and accessible.
