NAPLES, Fla.- Thousands of people gathered in downtown Naples to participate in the annual Heart Walk.

America's number one and number four killers are heart disease and stroke, and the number of people affected by those issues is alarming.

One in three Americans suffers from some kind of heart disease, and that's why the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association are coming together to educate people and raise awareness.

The 3.1 mile heart walk began at 9 a.m. this morning at Cambier Park in downtown Naples.

There was no registration fee, but donations are accepted.
