FORT MYERS, Fla.- On Saturday and Sunday Bishop Verot will feature 50 of the best BBQ'ers from across the State of Florida cooking up ribs, pulled pork, and chicken and competing for over $15,000 in cash. VikingFest will be setup a lot like Taste of the Town where people can walk around to different vendors and sample their food.
Dana Hillis is from Big Papa's Country Kitchen has won 10 BBQ championships in three different states joins us now.
VikingFest Facts: VikingFest is a community event at Bishop Verot that will feature 50 of the best BBQ'ers from across the State of Florida in a Taste of the South competition.
Admission is $5. Children 11 and under are free.
Saturday, March 17th - 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
Sunday, March 18th - 11:30 am - 5:00 pm
Along with BBQ, we will also have Live Entertainment, a motorcycle show, a silent auction, and a classic car show on Sunday.
