ESTERO ISLAND, Fla.- Crews will be back on the water this morning for a second day of trying to pull a charred boat from the water near Lovers Key.

Crews worked for hours yesterday to put out the flames but because the fire was coming from inside the boats cabin they were harder to tackle.

The boat eventually sank 25 feet to the bottom of the water near Big Carlos Pass. Seven people were on board the boat when it sparked. Crews said they were lucky to escape unharmed. Buoys and lights were put around the sunken boat overnight to warn other boaters of the hazard.
