FORT MYERS, Fla.- Family Fun Event and Second Annual Stroller Derby event with proceeds to go toward tuition assistance for low income families with children attending the NCEF Early Childhood Development Center. The event will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Edison State College Collier Campus at the NCEF Center for Early Childhood Development located at 7007 Lely Cultural Parkway in Naples.
Some featured activities include adult Stroller Derby races, fall arts and crafts activities, face-painter, caricature artist, games, costume parade, live music, and raffles. More than a dozen community organizations will participate while different vendors offer a variety of food and refreshments. There are openings still available for the Stroller Derby Race. Admission is free to the public.
The Second Annual Stroller Derby event offers four sponsorship levels: Platinum - $1,500; Gold - $1,000; Silver-$500; and Bronze - $150.

Strollers used in the Stroller Derby must be homemade, have four wheels, pushed by the handle and cannot be motorized. One adult must sit in the stroller while two adults push the stroller to the finish line. Participants must be 18 years of age or older and sign an injury waiver.
Stroller Derby classes include competition among Students, Charitable Organizations/Clubs, Small Businesses (less than 50), and Large Businesses(50+). Winners for each race will be announced and a Grand Finale race will be conducted with prizes awarded for winners.
