FORT MYERS, Fla- You have probably heard the stories from somebody you know that someone got a great real estate deal and wondered, what about me? Real Estate contributor Denny Grimes says buyers may be missing the best deals by not recognizing them when they see them.
Denny joined us Thursday morning with some examples. An Estero Condo once selling for half a million going under contract for $220,00. A 4,000 square foot golf course home on the market for less than it's original $1 million asking price. A $1.4 million country club home under contract for $560,000 and a home down from $2.1 million to what the lots used to cost, listed for $700,000.
All of these homes come with challenges. Chinese drywall, abandoned, short sale or bank owned but Grimes says buyers willing to stick it out can be the bargain finder. His tips, stay in the market, have your agent sign you up for Listing Book and don't be afraid to look for the less than perfect properties.
