CAIRO (AP) - Secretary of State John Kerry is to meet today with top Egyptian and Arab League officials in a U.S. push for international support for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

Kerry acknowledges the differences between Israel and Hamas run very deep and must be addressed in any long-term solution.

Meanwhile, Israeli aircraft on Tuesday have hit more than 70 targets in the Gaza Strip, including five mosques.

Two weeks of fighting have killed at least 500 Palestinians and more than two dozen Israelis.
