LEE COUNTY, Fla.- CBS Chief Washington Correspondent Bob Schieffer is the only current network anchor who was in Dallas the day President John F. Kennedy was shot and killed.

He joined us via satellite on WINK News Weekend to talk about his experiences and what it was like in Texas that day.

It's been 50 years since the 35th president of the United States was assassinated, changing history and the history of television news forever. Just two days later, the man accused of killing the president, Lee Harvey Oswald, was shot and killed himself on live television.

Schieffer anchors Face the Nation and also hosted 48 HOURS PRESENTS: "As it Happened: John F. Kennedy 50 Years" on Saturday night.
