(UNDATED) President Obama starts the week with some encouraging news. A new CNN/ORC International poll released Monday shows his approval rating inched up to 51-percent, up four percent from last month.
It comes as the president takes on the budget, gun control, immigration reform and border security.
The numbers were different on individual issues. Just 38-percent approve of how President Obama is handling the federal deficit. Nearly six in ten saying they disapprove. 45-percent of Americans approve of how he is handling gun policy and 52-percent disapprove.
