DENVER (AP) - The Denver Coroner's office has positively identified the remains of a 19-year-old woman who went missing after leaving a downtown nightclub earlier this year.
Earlier Thursday, the Denver District Attorney's office announced that 31-year-old Travis Forbes faces a charge of first-degree murder in the case of Kenia Monge (mon-Hay'). Investigators found Monge's remains Wednesday in a field near Keenesburg, about 40 miles from Denver.
Prosecutors allege Forbes killed Monge after persuading her to get into his car in the early morning hours of April 1. Forbes is in jail on unrelated charges. He's expected to be advised of the charge in the Monge case Sept. 23.
