NEW YORK (AP) - New York City police say they are trying to locate the parents of a newborn baby discovered in a shoebox outside a Queens home.
Police say the infant was discovered at around 7 a.m. Friday outside a house in the Ditmars-Steinway section of Queens. The baby's umbilical cord was still attached.
Police say the baby is in stable condition at Elmhurst General Hospital.
