The Dow has plummeted to below 11,000 points this Thursday, prompting much discussion of an impending recession.
The Dow Jones Industrial average dropped 423 points after falling as much as 528 points. Renewed fears about a slowing global economy were at the heart of Thursday's sell-off.
Morgan Stanley says that the U.S. and Europe are "dangerously close to a second recession."
PIMCO says, "We're running out of white knights" to save troubled banks.
