NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Continental Airlines says it is canceling 24 flights, primarily out of Newark, N.J.
Airline spokeswoman Megan McCarthy says Wednesday's cancellations are "due to lack of crew availability." The pilots' union at Continental Airlines isn't commenting and no further details are available.
The airline is working to get customers on alternate flights.
Continental, a unit of Chicago-based United Continental Holdings Co., operates a large hub out of Newark Liberty International Airport. It has about 3,000 daily flights system-wide.
