Some parents near Denver say pornography should not be allowed on the computers at the local library.

Officials in Jefferson County say, as long as the content is legal, adults can access it on the computers.

Parents are furious over what their children might see.

Deputies have responded to incidents involving people watching porn at Jeffco Libraries.

Spokesperson Rebecca Winning says the library tries to protect kids, but they cannot control what adults watch.

Jeffco Library computers used by children are equipped with anti-pornography filters.

Unfiltered computers are available to adults, and any legal content, including hardcore porn is allowed.

"We do ask patrons to use a privacy screen," Winning said.

Winning said the library's only gotten a handful of complaints.

"We serve the entire population, the entire spectrum, from children to adults," Winning said.
