An ad from the clothing company, J. Crew, has been creating controversy about young children and gender roles.
The J. Crew ad ran last week in an email advertising free shipping. The ad displayed a photograph of one of the company's executives and her son. The photo seems pretty typical, but if you take a second glance, you may notice that the little boy's toes are painted a shade of hot pink.
The caption of the photo reads: "Lucky for me, I ended up with a boy whose favorite color is pink. Toenail painting is way more fun in neon."
The photograph went viral online and has been hotly debated on the internet with people advocating both sides of the controversy.
