KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - The deaths of three U.S. service members today brings the toll for August to 15 in Afghanistan.

NATO said two of the Americans were killed in a bombing in the east, while the third was killed in the west.

Officials say two Afghan civilians were also killed by bombs today. A bomb hidden on a motorbike killed two street cleaners.

Recent months have been particularly deadly for both NATO forces and Afghan civilians.
