CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) - A look at Tim Tebow's day at New York Jets training camp:
TEBOW TIME: Tebow worked with the second-team offense during the team's green-and-white scrimmage at Cortland Stadium, and also served as the punt protector on special teams.
HOW'D HE DO?: He mostly sputtered, although it wasn't all his fault. Tebow went 1 for 4 passing, but Eron Riley dropped a pass and Dexter Jackson should have caught one of his two deep throws. Tebow ran three times for 14 yards, but also fumbled two exchanges from center Caleb Schlauderaff. Tebow completed a short pass to Eric Smith on a faked punt.
TEBOWMANIA: Fans chanted "Tee-boww! Tee-boww!" throughout the scrimmage - and after - and cheered loudly when he ran onto the field for the first time. After the practice, Tebow was surrounded by dozens of kids and adults wanting to get a picture with the backup quarterback - while starter Mark Sanchez had a modest crowd around him.
TALKING TEBOW: "I know we didn't put up the points that we wanted to and get it in the end zone. As far as the three passes I threw, I felt pretty good about those and felt pretty good about the decisions. Probably would have liked to have thrown one of them a little quicker, but I felt pretty good about it." - Tebow on his performance in the scrimmage.
