ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - The Orlando Magic have made their first roster move of the offseason, waiving guard Von Wafer.

The team announced the move Tuesday, a week after firing coach Stan Van Gundy and mutually separating with general manager Otis Smith.

Wafer appeared in 33 games this season, averaging 5.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 14.2 minutes per game. He also played in one playoff game.

This summer is expected to be a busy one for the Magic. Along with trying to get Dwight Howard to sign long-term, forward Ryan Anderson becomes a restricted free agent, with the team able to match any offer the forward receives.

There are also questions about point guard Jameer Nelson, who has a player option next season. He has until mid-June to inform team officials of his intentions.
