LEE COUNTY, Fla.- From local businesses, to out-of-towners, Eagles fans sported FGCU colors, even with tip off being several hours away.

"I couldn't sleep last night. I was just feeling like a player, just feeling so anxious for it. It's really just, win or lose, an amazing run so far," said FGCU senior Nolan Lehman.

On campus, the bookstore came alive after lunch, with lines of people scoping out appropriate attire for watch parties.

Not every fan can claim to be straight from the Dunk City nest, but all are ready to soar with the team.

"Ever since the first time I saw them play, I saw Sherwood Brown dunking a couple times and I was like, that's my new team,"  said Michigan Resident, Dakota Weinman.
