DALLAS- Just 12 hours separate us from the FGCU Eagles taking the court against the Florida Gators. So what will the next few hours hold for the team?
The Eagles were relaxed and having fun yesterday, though they aren't taking this game lightly. After all, everyone knows about the Florida Gators, and until recently, no one had heard of the Eagles. Some of their own team members had never even heard of the school before attending.
"I was an assistant at Florida State for five years, so we played Florida every year. And their players, I know them personally because I recruited a lot of them when I was at Florida State. They're terrific young men. You know, I know their families, so it's very ironic that we're playing Florida this week," said Coach Andy Enfield.
The biggest star was not on the court, but above the court. We're talking about the 600-ton, $35 million video board.
"When you walk in the building for the first time...nothing can do it justice until you see it," said Brett Daniels, Dallas Cowboys Senior Director.
The Eagles are just hoping there are plenty of highlights to see.
