FORT MYERS, Fla.- The clock is ticking.  It will soon be time for the FGCU Eagles to fly again.  When the men's basketball team heads to Arlington, TX Wednesday, they will take several crucial members with them, including the team's managers.

A video featuring one of them doing a locker room victory dance following the team's win against San Diego is beginning to circulate online.

"The dance I went into is something that Sherwood (Brown) and Christophe (Varidal) showed me, so I kind of just did that and I kind of went off randomly.  I really just looked at the video and didn't realize half the stuff I did down there," team manager Dan Thomas said.

Thomas does realize the importance of his job.

"Just basically do anything the coaches want us to do.  That includes cutting film, wiping the sweat off the floor, and just I don't know hanging around the players, making sure they.'re having a good time."

He and others like Chris Ramos introduced us to the Southwest Florida stars in a way we haven't seen; through their eyes.

"What a lot of people don't realize is the showmanship, the heel clicking, a lot of the stuff you see on T.V., that's just how they are every day.  They're all a bunch of clowns and funny people and that's just who they are," Ramos said.

The managers will fly with the team wednesday to take on the legendary Florida Gators in Arlington, TXFriday.

"There's so many behind the scenes people from our assistant coaches who put together amazing scouts and amazing games plans, and it will just be interesting to see.  I'm excited to leave tomorrow," Ramos said.

The team will have one more full practice at Alico Arena Wednesday before boarding buses to the airport in the afternoon.
