NAPLES, Fla.- The season-ending event for the LPGA tees off on Thursday at TwinEagles Golf Club in North Naples.

The CME Group Titleholders event will bring the top women golfers to the area, and bring big bucks for the economy as well.

TwinEagles General Manager Dick McPhail says, "this is more than about TwinEagles, this is about the LPGA and the Naples area. This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase Naples, which is as you know, a very big part of golf and can be looked at as a capital of golf."

The top three women from each LPGA event this year qualified, bringing golfers from 30 different countries to Naples.

McPhail says, "it is a true showcase for Naples, the hotels are filling up, they've been filling up for about 3 weeks, the restaurants will be busy, this has a huge impact for the Naples area."

He hopes the community will come out to show its support for the event that's expected to drive in millions. "It's an opportunity for all of Naples to support our area, for our economy it's a huge event especially for this time of year, an event like this hasn't been around in a long time and we'd apprecaite the support for not only TwinEagles but all of Naples."

We caught up with one golfer from Colombia who is excited to be in Naples for the big event. Mariajo Uribe says, "I think Florida is the best weather we're going to find. I love coming here, its such a golf dominant state so we're happy to be here."
