ORANGE CITY, Fla. (AP) - An Orange City couple was arrested after reportedly trying to sell two stolen dirt bikes on the Internet.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office reports that a Deltona couple recently recognized dirt bikes stolen from their backyard in May on Craigslist. Friends of the victims posed as buyers Saturday and went to the home of 21-year-old Cori Bathjer and 37-year-old Charles Weller. The friends said they wanted to take the bikes for a test ride, but instead rode them to awaiting deputies.

When deputies questioned Bathjer and Weller, they reportedly gave different accounts of how they obtained the bikes and couldn't provide titles or proof over ownership.

Bathjer and Weller were each charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle and dealing in stolen property.
