FGCU now has a major leaguer.
The Chicago Cubs called up former Eagle Casey Coleman on Monday. Coleman becomes the first former Eagle to make it all the way to the major leagues.
Coleman also made some history for his family. According to FGCU sports information, Coleman's grandfather and father both pitched in the major leagues. With Casey being called up, it marks the first time a family has had three generations of pitchers make it to the major league level.
