FORT MYERS, Fla. – A woman pepper sprayed another woman following an altercation in the Edison Mall food court Thanksgiving night, according to Fort Myers police. Police did not say what the two women were fighting about, but they confirmed no one was arrested. The food court was evacuated for a short time due to the fumes given off from the pepper spray. It reopened by 10 p.m. Thursday. How many people were affected by the spray is unknown at this time. WINK News reached out the mall’s public relations department for more information, but have not heard back as of 11 p.m. Thursday. Many stores in the mall opened at 6 p.m. Thursday for Black Friday specials.
