PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Detectives have identified the adults involved in a shooting incident last week at the Charlotte Harbor RV Park.

Around 5:30 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to the RV park located at 4838 Tamiami Trail after receiving reports of a domestic dispute.

Shortly after deputies arrived on the scene, four children exited the trailer and were taken to safety.

During the next five hours, deputies were involved in a standoff situation with the apparent shooter, who was identified as 36-year-old Rosemery Martinez.

During the stand-off, police were able to safely remove 20-year-old Blake Anne Reeves. She was later transported to Lee Memorial Hospital.

About 10:30 a.m., police entered the trailer and found Martinez and 42-year-old Jonathan Edward Brewer deceased inside.

During their investigation, officials found that Brewer apparently had several aliases and varying dates of birth, which hampered their ability to locate his relatives.

By Friday October 24, the crime scene processing had been completed and the trailer was secured.  Detectives are continuing their investigation in this case.  Official reports from the Medical Examiner’s Office are not expected for several weeks.
