COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- 18 people charged with stealing more than a million dollars in federal Social Security death benefits. Four of them live right here in Southwest Florida.

First up is 46-year-old Etheal Clark from Naples. According to her indictment, she used a dead person's Social Security Number to collect 125 thousand-dollars in benefits between 2010 and May of this year. We went to her home, but no one answered.

WINK News then went north to Bonita Springs to the home of 57-year-old Mona Lesa Mackey. Neighbors tell me she goes by Lesa and moved out a few months ago. Investigators said she didn't tell anyone her husband died and continued to receive his Social Security disability benefits, totaling nearly $140,000.

Further north in Estero, Lonnie Hicks allegedly received his son's Social Security benefits while that son was living in Mexico with his mother. Investigators say he didn't tell them his son wasn't livng with him. He made off with almost $75,000.

And in Fort Myers, federal prosecutors say 53-year-old Robin Wisniewski who also goes by Robin Sabatine, received her mother's Social Security benefits after she died. The total loss almost $36,000.

If convicted, all of those people face up to 10 years in federal prison. Some of them already have trial dates set.
