The Miracle are off to a good start in their quest for a Florida State League Championship. Fort Myers came back from being down 7-3 in the second inning to win 8-7 at Bradenton. The Miracle now lead the best of three series, 1-0 with game two and if needed game three in Fort Myers.

The teams combined for 15 runs on just 13 hits. There were four errors and 14 walks in the game, Fort Myers walked 11 times.

Jason Kanzler was the hitting star for the Miracle, the center fielder was 2-3 with six runs batted in. Kanzler hit a grand slam to tie the game at seven in the fourth inning.

Six pitchers were needed as the Miracle didn't allow any earned runs. Starter Brett Lee allowed all seven runs but they were un-earned because of errors.

Fort Myers will host Bradenton on Wednesday at JetBlue Park at 7:05 p.m. If needed the teams will play again on Thursday to determine who advances to the Florida State League Championship game.

The Miracle earned a spot in the playoffs by winning the Florida State League South, first half title while the Marauders won the second half crown. Fort Myers has never won a Florida State League Championship.
