LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A Naples police officer tied to deadly shooting is asking for her gun back.
Officer Amy Young was injured in a domestic shooting back in July during which her boyfriend, Officer David Monroig, died.
WINK News has repeatedly asked the Lee County Sheriff's office for details on the case including who was the shooter.
So far, they have not responded.
What we do know is that Young's service weapon was taken after the shooting when Monroig's ex-wife filed an order of protection.
That motion was denied and now Young is asking the court to give her the gun back.
A judge will hear the case next week.
