PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- A woman is under arrest for allegedly driving under the influence with her two children in the car.
Officials say 36-year-old Jennifer Mannino was stopped by a police officer after being seen unable to remain in her lane while traveling southbound on Tamiami Trl.
The officer pulled the vehicle over after seeing Mannino attempting to make a right hand turn on Bayshore Rd. and driving over the median into oncoming traffic and almost hitting another car.
According to authorities, the officer smelled a heavy odor of alcohol emitting from the Ford F150 and saw Mannino's two children ages 12 and 10 inside.
The officer asked Mannino to exit the vehicle in order to perform field sobriety tests but officials say she refused.
Mannino was placed under arrest and transported to jail where a breathilizer test revealed Mannino's breath alcohol level to be .250.
